Worship Service for February 14, 2021

Welcome to NLCF’s online Worship Service for February 14, 2021. Wherever you find yourself this morning, please begin by praying with those you are with. God wants to connect with you today (and everyday), so ask the Lord to help you hear from Him.

READ:
To open our worship, read Psalm 67:1-7 out loud:

1 May God be merciful and bless us.
May his face smile with favor on us. Interlude
2 May your ways be known throughout the earth,
your saving power among people everywhere.
3 May the nations praise you, O God.
Yes, may all the nations praise you.
4 Let the whole world sing for joy,
because you govern the nations with justice
and guide the people of the whole world. Interlude
5 May the nations praise you, O God.
Yes, may all the nations praise you.
6 Then the earth will yield its harvests,
and God, our God, will richly bless us.
7 Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him.

SING
To help us worship together, use the following songs to sing to the Lord.

GIVE
If you haven’t done so already, we want to invite you to worship through giving by using our online giving options. Please remember that even when our world is in crisis, the financial needs of the church are still present, and we can still give to God financially as an act of worship and to demonstrate our trust in the Lord.  Click here for more information.

Valentine’s Challenge!

Create a picture or craft about the Bible verse 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. When finished, upload your creation on the NLCF What’s App group. Any age may participate (There MAY be prices for participants when church reopens).

READ
For our Scripture reading today, please read Hebrews 4:14-16 out loud:

14 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

PRAYER
Ask those you are with what they would like to pray for. In addition to that, please come bring to God the following prayer requests:

– Pray for those struggling with the impacts of the lockdown
– Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with others

SERMON
Message: Duty – Grace and Truth by Kevin Wiebe

SING
Join us for our closing song

READ
To close our time of worship, please read Titus 2:11-14 out loud:

11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.
