Welcome to NLCF’s online Worship Service for June 7, 2020. Wherever you find yourself this morning, please begin by praying with those you are with. God wants to connect with you today (and everyday), so ask the Lord to help you hear from Him.
To open our worship, read Psalm 134 out loud:
Oh, praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord,
you who serve at night in the house of the Lord.
2 Lift your hands toward the sanctuary,
and praise the Lord.
3 May the Lord, who made heaven and earth,
bless you from Jerusalem.
To help us worship together, use the following songs to sing to the Lord.
If you haven’t done so already, we want to invite you to worship through giving by using our online giving options. Please remember that even when our world is in crisis, the financial needs of the church are still present, and we can still give to God financially as an act of worship and to demonstrate our trust in the Lord. Memory Verse: John 6:35
Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
For our Scripture reading today, please read Psalm 51:7-13 out loud:
7 Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean;
wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Oh, give me back my joy again;
you have broken me—
now let me rejoice.
9 Don’t keep looking at my sins.
Remove the stain of my guilt.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God.
Renew a loyal spirit within me.
11 Do not banish me from your presence,
and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
and make me willing to obey you.
13 Then I will teach your ways to rebels,
and they will return to you.
Ask those you are with what they would like to pray for. In addition to that, please come bring to God the following prayer requests:
– Pray that God would help us grow in the fruits of the Spirit in a time when we may feel growing impatience and frustration.
– Pray for our government as they deliberate about reopening our province
Peter the Fallen & Forgiven – Message by Kevin Wiebe
Join us for our closing song
To close our time of worship, please read 1 Peter 5:6-11 out loud:
6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.
10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. 11 All power to him forever! Amen.
