Welcome to NLCF’s online Worship Service. While we are not able to meet together in person, we hope and trust that God will meet with us wherever we are. So wherever you find yourself this morning, begin by praying with those you are with. Ask God to help you feel the presence of the Spirit in a special way despite our current situation.
To open our worship, read Isaiah 41:10 out loud:
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”
To help us worship together, use the following songs to sing to the Lord.
If you haven’t done so already, we want to invite you to worship through giving by using our online giving options. Click here for more information.
For our Scripture reading today, please read Psalm 63:1-8 out loud:
O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
2 So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
beholding your power and glory.
3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
4 So I will bless you as long as I live;
in your name I will lift up my hands.
5 My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food,
and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips,
6 when I remember you upon my bed,
and meditate on you in the watches of the night;
7 for you have been my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy.
8 My soul clings to you;
your right hand upholds me.
Ask those you are with what they would like to pray for. In addition to those requests, please ask God:
– For protection and provision for our families and communities from the COVID-19 virus.
– To heal those who are sick
– For protection for medical and other front-line workers
– For wisdom for our government
– For comfort and healing for Maria Dyck, who recently found out that she has a brain tumour.

Join us for our closing song
To close our time of worship, please read Colossians 1:9-14 out loud:
9 And so,from the day we heard,we have not ceased to pray for you, asking thatyou may be filled with the knowledge of his will in allspiritual wisdom and understanding,10 so asto walk in a manner worthy of the Lord,fully pleasing to him:bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;11 being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, forall endurance and patiencewith joy;12 giving thanks[a]to the Father, who has qualified you[b]to share inthe inheritance of the saints in light.13 Hehas delivered us fromthe domain of darkness and transferred us tothe kingdom ofhis beloved Son,14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
If you are a member of our congregation, please consider sharing a video on our church’s What’s App group where you share a Bible verse with us that has brought you peace and comfort in the past, along with a brief story and explanation of why that verse is special to you. If you are not a member of our church, please share such a video on another social media platform with the hashtag #COVID19ChurchChallenge. For more information about the challenge, click here.
