Worship Service for May 10, 2020

Welcome to NLCF’s online Worship Service for May 10, 2020. Wherever you find yourself this morning, please begin by praying with those you are with. God wants to connect with you today (and everyday), so ask the Lord to help you hear from Him.

READ:
To open our worship, read Psalm 115:9-18 out loud:

O Israel, trust the Lord!
He is your helper and your shield.
10 O priests, descendants of Aaron, trust the Lord!
He is your helper and your shield.
11 All you who fear the Lord, trust the Lord!
He is your helper and your shield.
12 The Lord remembers us and will bless us.
He will bless the people of Israel
and bless the priests, the descendants of Aaron.
13 He will bless those who fear the Lord,
    both great and lowly.
14 May the Lord richly bless
    both you and your children.
15 May you be blessed by the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.
16 The heavens belong to the Lord,
but he has given the earth to all humanity.
17 The dead cannot sing praises to the Lord,
for they have gone into the silence of the grave.
18 But we can praise the Lord
    both now and forever!
Praise the Lord!

SING
To help us worship together, use the following songs to sing to the Lord.

GIVE
If you haven’t done so already, we want to invite you to worship through giving by using our online giving options. Please remember that even when our world is in crisis, the financial needs of the church are still present, and we can still give to God financially as an act of worship and to demonstrate our trust in the Lord.  Click here for more information.

Children’s Feature
Here is a children’s feature by Martha Hamm about!

READ
For our Scripture reading today, please read Psalm 19:1-4 out loud:

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
    The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
    their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.

PRAYER
Ask those you are with what they would like to pray for. In addition to that, please come bring to God the following prayer requests:

– Continue to pray for Fatmata and her two boys, who have been living in Crestview Fellowship (Winnipeg) for over a year, hoping to be allowed to stay in Canada so they don’t have to face the dangers of their home country.

– Pray for healing for Bill Friesen’s Dad.

– Pray for those experiencing increased anxiety because of the pandemic.

READ
To close our time of worship, please read Ephesians 3:16-21 out loud:

I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.
