Welcome to NLCF’s online Worship Service for May 24, 2020. Wherever you find yourself this morning, please begin by praying with those you are with. God wants to connect with you today (and everyday), so ask the Lord to help you hear from Him.
To open our worship, read Philippians 4:6-7 out loud:
6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
To help us worship together, use the following songs to sing to the Lord.
If you haven’t done so already, we want to invite you to worship through giving by using our online giving options. Please remember that even when our world is in crisis, the financial needs of the church are still present, and we can still give to God financially as an act of worship and to demonstrate our trust in the Lord. Memory Verse: “For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.” – Jeremiah 31:34
For our Scripture reading today, please read 1 Peter 2:21-25 out loud:
21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
22 He never sinned,
nor ever deceived anyone.
23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted,
nor threaten revenge when he suffered.
He left his case in the hands of God,
who always judges fairly.
24 He personally carried our sins
in his body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin
and live for what is right.
By his wounds
you are healed.
25 Once you were like sheep
who wandered away.
But now you have turned to your Shepherd,
the Guardian of your souls.
Ask those you are with what they would like to pray for. In addition to that, please come bring to God the following prayer requests:
– Pray for those feeling lonely in the midst of social distancing.
– Pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ around the world

Join us for our closing song
To close our time of worship, please read 2 Thessalonians 3:16 out loud:
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.
